Salvation – Straight Forward

SALVATION

It is critical to accept the gift of salvation. Without accepting this gracious love gift from the Father, you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. The fall of the first man (Adam) has all flesh destined to sin. This destiny (where all men sin) has us doomed to eternity in hell, not just a physical death. Paul’s letter to the Romans says: “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). For some, having this knowledge means nothing. For me, it’s paramount that we (as believers) understand this.
Going to Hell isn’t the only reason why salvation is important. The human race desires to worship something. We want to know God. We want to know and love God. We crave Salvation. However, craving salvation is not the same as being saved. Once we accept the gift of God’s ultimate love for us (Jesus dying for our sins), we then must repent and follow Jesus. This new you is a result of being born again (John 3:3). Being born again is death to your old self and living through a renewed change of mind (Acts 3:19). This is a combination of acceptance and repentance. Confessing sin, accepting the gift of Jesus and renewing your mind toward the things of God.

Jesus’s Compassion for the Lost Used to Condone Sin?

Jacques - Same Sex marriage

Everyday I read somewhere in the news where Jesus’s time spent with the lost is being misused for condoning sin.  What do I mean you ask?  Simple.  Jesus spent time with sinners (the sick) with intentions of healing the sick.  So-called Christians take that to mean that we are to tolerate sin and even in some cases – ‘Bless it’.

SIN is Rebellion Against God

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth.

Romans 1:18 ESV

So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

James 4:17 ESV

SIN is not to be Condoned/Nor Blessed

and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.

Romans 1:32 NASB

THE LAST WORD

We are not to ‘approve of’ nor ‘Bless’ sin.  Doing so heaps the same wrath of the sinner upon you.  We are to guide sinners to the Light in a ‘loving’ fashion.  Pastors, Priests, Ministers and Reverends who perform marriages, guidance and counseling–Take notice and consider yourselves informed of the truth.
